Nanophotonics Research Group

Maneuvering light at atomic scale

The Song Group, led by Asst. Prof. Jung-Hwan Song, explores how light interacts with matter at the nanoscale to discover emerging optical materials, new resonances, and future photonic systems.

Light, matter, and nanoscale structure.

We investigate emerging optical materials, create new light-matter interactions, and develop compact optical devices and systems. The group aims to connect fundamental nanophotonics to human-machine interfaces, quantum technologies, sustainable communication and computation, and state-of-the-art characterization.
